This scheme of learning is designed as an 8-10 week intertextuality unit for the IB English Literature/ Language and Literature programme. The end of unit assessment is the Individual Oral where students must focus on a global issue and how it is presented throughout a text, therefore this scheme focuses on the presentation of global issues such as oppressive gender constructs. This scheme can also be used to prepare students for the EDUQAS Unit 4 NEA (coursework in old money) as the pre-2000 text choice.
