AQA Power and Conflict Poetry – Poet Speed Dating Cards (@MissG_E_M)

Description

An activity designed to get students to consider the values, beliefs, and experiences of the poets of the P&C cluster. They are given cards, a poet to role play and discuss/compare with others in the room. At the end of the activity they then consider looking at the titles of the poems in the whole cluster, generating first impressions of what the cluster encompasses in its entirety. Cards also include a stretch question for the individual to consider when linking the contextual information of the poet to what themes this may be relevant to in the poem itself.
