A set of KS3 activities in response to the 1930 article in the Vancouver Province. The focus is on vocabulary and language use, and critically engaging with the contextual attitudes conveyed in the text. Would work equally well as a KS4 Paper 2 practice. Intended to be used as a counterpoint to Curley's Wife in Of Mice and Men, showing a different 'type' of 1930s woman.
