Heavily scaffolded to focus on language and structure with KS3 in mind but a useful starting point for KS4 Paper 1 study. A great counterpoint to 'Of Mice and Men' exploring female autonomy, the role of the wife in 1930s America, use of the vernacular and introduction to writers from the Harlem Renaissance.
