Crime Fiction covering The Speckled Band, other fiction and non fiction extracts and some poetry

Description

A SOW developed for year 9 as an introduction to the 19th Century novella. Students are taken through a study of 'The Adventure of the Speckled Band' with some other fiction extracts and non-fiction texts to support this. The scheme rounds off with some poetry that also explores themes of crime. Using lots of resources magpied from everywhere.
